• Account data: name, email address, phone number, role (buyer/seller).
• Seller verification data: government ID number and uploaded documents (stored securely).
• Payment data: processed by Stripe — we do not store card details.
• Usage data: pages visited, search queries, messages sent.
• Location data: city and region for service listings (not precise GPS unless you grant permission).

• To operate the marketplace and process payments securely.
• To verify seller identities and prevent fraud.
• To send SMS notifications for account actions (powered by Twilio).
• To improve platform features and resolve disputes.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

SwissServ uses the following third-party processors:

• Stripe — payment processing and seller payouts (Stripe Connect).
• Twilio — SMS verification and password reset.
• MongoDB Atlas — secure database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting and serverless functions.

Each provider maintains their own privacy policy and security standards.

We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data:

• All passwords are hashed using bcrypt (12 rounds).
• Authentication uses HttpOnly cookies with secure and SameSite flags.
• All API routes enforce rate limiting to prevent abuse.
• Sensitive seller documents are stored with access controls.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for tax compliance).

Under Swiss and European data protection law, you have the right to:
